Description: Christmas is the time of the sweet tooth. The most beautiful magnolia bonbonniere from Georg Jensen. Danish silver at its very best. If you want to view it in the store, give us a preview before it can come out of the box. Georg Jensen's oval bonbonniere from 1905 is inspired by the shapes of nature, which are combined in a new organic way. The low and robust design with toad feathers and magnolia flower on top is a combination of elements and classic Georg Jensen flora and fauna details. He took elements he found fascinating from their natural surroundings and incorporated them into his designs, bringing the elements to life in an imaginative and surprising way. The flower bud is inspired by Japanese art, where the magnolia flower is a symbol of month of may. The scrub toad is also known in Japan, where it is the messenger of luck. As is characteristic of Georg Jensen, the designs are decorated top and bottom. The hammered surface, which is executed in the hand, is a distinct Georg Jensen detail that bleeds the light's reflection and creates a moonlike cut.
